Dr. Weiss Retires From Clinical Practice

Share
weissAfter 20 years of dedication and care to the children of South Orange County, Dr. Michael Weiss has decided to retire from clinical practice to pursue administrative duties.    Although Dr. Weiss will no longer be a constant provider in our Rancho Santa Margarita office, we feel very fortunate that he will occasionally see patients in our Ladera Ranch location providing after hours care.  We wish Dr. Weiss the very best in his future endeavors.

The following is Dr. Weiss’ message to parents:

January 10, 2009

To the patients of SOCPA:

It is with mixed emotions that I announce I will be leaving SOCPA, effective March 1st,to pursue my Medical Director Administrative duties.  My wife and I have agonized over this decision for the past 6 months, but we decided that it was the right time to open a new chapter in our lives.

My 20 years with SOCPA have been a tremendous adventure. I feel so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to care for your children for these many years. The triumphs and tragedies we have shared are a part of my life that will be with me forever.

As in the past, with the departure of Dr. Asner and Dr. Wesp, SOCPA will continue to grow and be successful despite my absence. I am excited for the future of SOCPA. We have so many young, talented physicians who will, no doubt, carry on the SOCPA tradition. The approach to quality medical care and the personal touch will continue for years to come!

I plan to work an occasional evening in the Ladera Ranch Office so I can still be available to provide well child care for those of you who wish to take advantage of the evening hours.

Thank you, once again, for allowing me to watch your children grow. I have always felt blessed to be a part of your family.  I look forward to seeing many of you around the community. I wish you and your families all the best.

My best always,

Mike Weiss
