Nurses-Week

Today marks the first day of National Nurses Week! National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6th (also known as National Nurses Day) through May 12th, (the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing). Each year, National Nurses Week focuses attention on the diverse ways America’s nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals. For 2014, the American Nurses Association (ANA) has selected “Nurses: Leading the Way ” as this year’s theme.

We wish to extend a special thank you to our own SOCPA nursing staff for the caring contributions they make– not only to our practice, but also to the community they serve. Thank you for a job well done!

Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription. ~ Val Saintsbury
