During the entire month of October, all Southern Orange County Pediatric Associates offices will be hosting a food drive, collecting donations of food and nonperishable items. The items you donate will then be delivered to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Being fully committed to finding innovative, sustainable ways to end hunger in Orange County, the Second Harvest Food Bank works with partner agencies to distribute food throughout Orange County. (It is currently estimated that 12.7% of Orange County residents or nearly 400,000 people struggle with hunger. Children and seniors make up 50% of those in need of food assistance.)
The most needed non-perishable food items include:
Canned Meat & Fish • Canned Soup • Canned Fruits & Vegetables • Peanut Butter • Hot & Cold Cereal • Macaroni and Cheese • Pasta • Rice & Beans
The most needed personal care items include:
Diapers • Toilet Tissue • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste • Soap
(Please, no glass containers or expired items.)
You may drop off your donations to a staff member at any one of our SOCPA locations. We sincerely thank you for your donations! We are proud to work together with our community in creating a future where no one ever goes hungry!
