We have exciting news to share with you. Our practice, along with other pediatric providers in Orange County, has been focused on building a community of pediatricians in both primary and specialty care. Our goal is to work with our patients in a more coordinated manner that will result in improved outcomes, enhanced access to high-quality services, and a better experience for patients and their families. We are pleased that our region’s only pediatric health care system, CHOC Children’s, is supporting these efforts. The result is a new partnership—the CHOC Children’s Network—that will truly benefit the children and families we serve.
You will still interact with us and our staff the way you always have, from making appointments to asking questions about your child’s medical condition. But as a member of CHOC Children’s Network, our practice will soon have enhanced access to CHOC specialists and to a variety of resources, including expert guidelines designed to enhance preventative and sick care. In addition, if your child is or becomes chronically ill and you desire help in navigating the health care system, you will have the opportunity to work with a care coordinator. We are committed to bringing you and our patients the highest level of pediatric health care services.
To help address questions, please see below for a brief Q & A. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office with any additional questions. All of us at Southern Orange County Pediatric Associates are excited to be a part of CHOC Children’s Network, securing the brightest and healthiest futures for children and families in Southern California.

CHOC Children’s Network FAQ
What is the CHOC Children’s Network?
CHOC Children’s Network is a community of pediatric providers, including primary care and specialty physicians, who are dedicated to a new model of care designed to improve outcomes and enhance the patient and family experience. CHOC Children’s Network providers are committed to improved communications and high-quality, coordinated care, from proactive preventive medicine to sick care. Our goal is to ensure children and families in our community have access to the highest quality pediatric services, from the doctor’s office to the hospital.
Will any of your practices, appointment times, etc., change?
Will it be easier for my child to get an appointment with a CHOC specialist?
Our practice will soon enjoy a closer relationship with and improved access to CHOC specialists, benefiting the children and families we serve.
Do I have access to anything that I didn’t have before your practice joined CHOC Children’s Network?
Through new technology, we will soon enjoy enhanced access to information from the many areas where care can be delivered: our office, specialists’ offices, laboratories, etc. This information will help us care for your child more efficiently, thus reducing the redundancies that may frustrate families. Additionally, we will have expert guidelines to help us enhance the care we provide your child. And, if you desire assistance navigating the health care system, which we know can be complicated, you’ll have access to knowledgeable care coordinators.
Do I need to make any changes to my insurance?
Will my co-pay or anything tied to billing change?
No. You will notice, however, on your billing statement that we are a member of CHOC Children’s Network.
