| Personal | Dr. Tran was born in Saigon, Vietnam. She and her family escaped by boat three years after the Vietnam War ended, and lived in a refugee camp in Malaysia for over a year. They were then sponsored by a Catholic parish to come to the United States. Her parents found relatives in Southern California, and have been in the area ever since. |
| Dr. Tran’s interests include playing the guitar and piano, singing and songwriting. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, national parks, star-gazing, Van Gogh art and musicals. |
